One-off production for structural art<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Problem:Without special dampers<\/a>, a double-helix staircase vibrates too strongly due to its natural resonance and therefore cannot be used by people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solution:Special custom shock absorbers are retrofitted inside the support tube <\/strong>and integrated “invisibly” into the artwork as damping devices. The shock absorbers were designed and manufactured as a custom one-off production for this project by LEBEN-D\u00e4mpfungstechnik GmbH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advantage:After installation of the special shock absorber, people can step onto the double-helix staircase without the occurrence of impermissible vibration amplitudes. Furthermore, the appearance of the artwork remains unchanged due to the internal damping.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
