Heavy duty engineering industry: steelworks, rolling mills, coking plants, open-cast mining, cargo loading systems
LEBEN manufactures heavy duty shock absorbers for the heavy engineering industry, including metallurgical plants, rolling mills, coking plants, open-cast mining and cargo loading systems (e.g. wagon tippler) and special process cranes (e.g. casting crane, ladle transport crane, slab transport crane, coil crane, tong crane, forging crane, traverse crane)
Heavy duty shock absorbers for roller conveyor / roller feeder:
Problem:
In steel works and rolling mills, heavy steel slabs or steel blocks are transported on roller conveyors. Without the use of a heavy-duty shock absorber as an end stop, impermissibly high forces are generated when the unit load hits the construction. For this reason, these large loads occurring in heavy engineering industry must be slowed down in a controlled manner in the end stations or transfer stations.
Solution:
Industrial shock absorbers (COMPENSER®) of the S-series are installed in the end stops. These heavy-duty shock absorbers are manufactured for heavy engineering industry.
Advantage:
The heavy-duty shock absorbers (COMPENSER®) prevent a hard impact on the end-limiting device of the running track and minimise the risk of damage.
Vibration dampers for stepping oven / steel kiln:
Problem:
In so-called cadence ovens, steel sheets are heat treated. The metal is transported through the furnace by means of eccentrically driven lattice segments in order to avoid bending the hot sheets. The eccentric drive causes unacceptably strong vibrations in the drive system at high throughput speeds.
Solution:
In parallel to the eccentric drives, adjustable COMPENSER®are arranged as vibration dampers.
Advantage:
The vibrations that occur are attenuated. The adjustability of the dampers ensures optimum damping and thus an efficient throughput speed.
Heavy duty industrial buffers for coking plant:
Problem:
The rope-pulled bucket must be brought to a gentle standstill in the storage position.
Solution:
Heavy-duty industrial buffers (COMPENSER®) of the S-series or C-series are mounted at the ends of the vehicle and buffer stops.
Advantage:
Due to a controlled deceleration over the stroke of the hydraulic industrial shock absorber, there is no damage to the construction caused by a too hard impact at the end point position.
