Mountain cableway
LEBEN manufactures vibration damper for special design applications, including pendulum damper or valve-controlled damper.
Cabin suspension with vibration damping (pendulum damper):
Problem:
Without vibration damper, cabins of large-cabin cable cars (so-called aerial tramways) start to swing up in the longitudinal direction when crossing supports. For this reason, the driving speed has to be reduced considerably to prevent passengers from feeling uncomfortable. The consequence of the speed reduction is a longer driving time and thus a reduced conveying capacity.
Solution:
In the oscillating axle in the area of the chassis, a COMPENSER® is arranged as a swivel piston damper, which effectively reduces the oscillating movement as a vibration damper.
Advantage:
The travel speed has not to be reduced during the pillar crossing and the cable car’s conveying capacity increases.
Mountain and valley stations with guiding end stop:
Problem:
In the event of inaccurate positioning of the retracting car in bottom or top stations, the car may get caught in the rope guide or the car may not stop at the intended position.
Solution:
At the end of the drive, a COMPENSER® of S-Type series is provided, which slows down the chassis and puts it in the exact position with the piston rod’s return stroke. Advantage: The cabin comes safely and precisely positioned to stand. Electronically monitoring of the piston rod position of the COMPENSER® is possible, see available Accesories.
