Suspension struts – damping of chassis for special-purpose vehicles
LEBEN produces gas-hydraulic suspension struts for special applications such as amphibious vehicles or underground vehicles.
Problem:
In previously manufactured amphibious vehicles, the suspension struts of the independent suspension were connected to a hydraulic power unit to adjust the spring/damping characteristics required for road or off-road driving. The installation and control of the chassis damping was very complex.
Solution:
A COMPENSER® was developed as a self-sufficient hydropneumatic / gas-hydraulic suspension strut with individual spring and damping characteristics.
Advantage:
Elimination of the previously required hydraulic power unit. The suspension and damping for road and off-road driving do not need to be changed; instead, they are enabled adaptively by the gas-hydraulic operating principle of the COMPENSER®.
