KL-Type / Compact Damper

Industrial Shock Absorber with Mechanical Spring Return / COMPENSER®

LEBEN offers the KL-Type, a hydraulic industrial shock absorber with spring return for applications in light machinery.

Spring shock absorber buffer KL-Type

The The COMPENSER® of the KL series is an industrial shock absorber for light mechanical engineering, e.g., <wpml_nbsp>handling equipment, small stacker cranes, and small crane systems. Due to the lower retracting force of the spring, this hydraulic industrial shock absorber of the KL series is well suited for operational creep speed approach.

Applications:

  • Pallet truck fall protection during uncontrolled lowering
  • Emergency stop for linear axes in case of drive failure or brake malfunction
  • Safety dampers for lift tables, lifting units, and lifting devices
  • Shock absorbers for stacker cranes and hoist end positions
  • Fall protection for load handling attachments in warehousing and conveying technology
  • Protection of frames, guides, and lifting mechanisms from hard impacts
  • Vertical end stop for lifts and lowering stations Emergency buffer for vertical axes with limited installation space
  • preferred mounting position: vertical, other mounting positions on request
  • low retracting force
  • very short design
  • high buckling resistance
  • Surface: housing zinc-plated (standard) or painted, piston rod hard chrome-plated (standard)
  • low-viscosity COMPENSOL®
  • Mounting: flange mounting optionally on front or rear side, foot mounting or fastening via lock nut
  • optionally constant reaction force over the entire stroke or increasing reaction force in the front stroke range
  • very short activation time after impact
  • Temperature range -30 to +60° C
  • Energy conversion up to 20 kNm

The piston rod 2 moves with the piston 6 into the pressure chamber 7. The damping medium flows through the control grooves in the outer tube 8 over the piston 6 into the volume compensation chamber 5. The return spring 3 is tensioned and, after impact, pushes the piston rod 2 back into the initial position, with the damping medium flowing back into the pressure chamber 7.
