Vibration absorber

Mass in combination with a vibration absorber:

Problem:
Building structures (e.g., radio masts, towers, wind turbines, and bridges) are excited to vibrate by wind forces during storms. Without protection through vibration absorption, this results in excessive loads on the structure.

Solution:
So-called absorbers are integrated into the towers. These consist of a movable mass which is connected to the structure via COMPENSER® as a vibration absorber.

Advantage:
The deflection amplitude of the tower structure is reduced to a permissible maximum value due to the coordinated vibration absorption.
